Committed To Serve

By Joseph Kativu (Director, Inspiration Of The Valley LLC)

Greeting partners and friends!!!!

I would like to notify you that through this blog, we will be covering different topics that we feel as Inspiration of the Valley LLC will be informative to our partners.  We are grateful to you for your support as we serve vulnerable members of our community.

Having worked in various fields of mental health and developmental disability I have come to understand that we operate in a world that has both a technical and emotional side in serving our members.  There is a tendency to see the operative aspect of the work and ignore emotional side of it and vice versa.  We at Inspiration of the Valley LLC attempt to balance the two.

We have to ensure that our members have a good home to live in, that they are healthy and have access to all the physical needs that make their lives as satisfying as can be.  In addition we ensure that they have intellectual and social activities which they constantly are engaged in.  As much as we do our best to mobilize the physical resources to achieve their goals at the same time we also want to be sure that they are emotionally satisfied and happy in their everyday life.  Friends and family play a vital part in this.   This is why we encourage our providers to allow members to connect with family as much as possible through regularly scheduled visits and other media interactions.  We encourage our members to attend social and educational activities daily in order to enhance their social networks.  Day programs, sheltered employment programs, educations activities are a vital and integral part of our members’ lives because they provide the opportunity to enrich our members’ lives.   Unfortunately and quite necessarily so for now we have to abide by the temporary restrictions due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

We also ensure that all therapy needs are requested and covered through their state support coordinators.  We are grateful to the Division of Developmental Disabilities, the State of Arizona and AHCCCS for the partnership that we have with them as a Qualified Vendor that makes these provisions possible.  It is my belief that the State of Arizona is one of the leaders in our 50 states in providing an environment where our vulnerable population is served with an outstanding degree of excellence. Thanks to our governor, DES and DDD directorate who continue to provide exceptional guidance to the provider and vendors.

We at Inspiration of the Valley cherish the relations that we have with our partners who also include the District Networks, Support Coordinators without whom this work would be impossible to achieve.
